Will You Be Affected by the Recent Rebate Changes?
Check the DLC 5.0 to 5.1 Grace Periods in Your Area
There have recently been some changes to the eligibility requirements for DesignLights Consortium qualified products, which could impact your next lighting project. If you plan to offset your upcoming or recent purchase of LED lights with energy efficiency rebates through your utility provider, here is what you need to know.
At the end of June, DLC transitioned from version 5.0 to version 5.1, which means many products may no longer be eligible for rebates. Some utility companies stopped accepting 5.0 product on July 1st. But the good news is, select utility companies are offering grace periods during which they will still accept 5.0 products. See below for the current program info from utilities that have announced their policies.
If you’d like more information about the grace period when your utility company is accepting 5.0 products for rebates, or if you don’t see your utility company listed above, reach out to our team. We are here to handle all things lighting, and that includes finding out information about rebates available in your area and even helping get them processed for you.
